Beyond being granted a rare license to operate a radio station in a major market, we are excited about blazing a new trail in community media. Now someone, anyone, can gain access to the public airwaves via 97.5 The Pirate.
If you are interested in developing your own programming for our station and possibly our national networks, you'll need to register for our KFTW Producer Wikispace. If you're not familiar with WikiSpace, we know you'll find it an indispensable tool.
It is not unlike an online learning experience where you can discuss openly your program ideas, issues and problems you may be having. Our secure WikiSpaces operate to make information available to members 24/7, from anywhere, making participation easier with fewer physical meetings and on your schedule. Even if you already produce programming such as a radio show or podcast, you're ahead of the curve but we would still like you to join the WikiSpace
Because our WikiSpace is secure, your program development progress, comments and projects are not viewable by the general public. Our WikiSpace is a private group for which you must be invited. We have attached a one-time fee of $15 per WikiSpace account.
Proceeds from this fee will be used to support our growing infrastructure, as well as future community outreach activities.
This is the Producer sign-up page. here, you may pay your one-time membership fee via PayPal. Once fee is received, you will gain access to the KFTW Producers WikiSpace. You may pay your one-time fee here:
Next Step: Read the various articles, ask questions and begin producing! The group will do everything possible to make learning the craft of audio production easy and enjoyable.
